Ross Stanley
Growing up in South Africa, sport and exercise has always been a big part of my life. After school I moved to London and worked at GymBox selling memberships. I learnt a lot during my time and realised that it is definitely the industry that I want to work in but not the role. The sales role was too business focused and not focused enough on helping the individual. So I started a PT course and once completed, applied to do a Strength & Conditioning internship at Michaelhouse, a prestigious boarding school in South Africa. After the 2 year internship and qualifying as a level 4 Strength & Conditioning Coach I moved to Edinburgh to pursue a career playing rugby and to start my own coaching business. I love what I do now and am thoroughly enjoying doing it in Edinburgh. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you think we could work well together, even if it is just for a chat and to get more clarity on what I do and how it works.
Why FUNDAMENTALS?
I got into the gym when I was 16 in order to increase my performance and decrease my chances of injuries on the rugby field. Later on aesthetics became a key reason and I focused on that for about a year before focusing more on sports performance again. During this time I realised that the fundamentals always stay the same. Correct training techniques, optimised rest and recovery as well as nutrition. These should be the fundamentals for anyone wanting to improve their life through exercise. Through my own experience and studies I am learning how to master these fundamentals and I am passionate about helping you discover how to do the same.
